Muscle Twitching

Here is some medical mumbo jumbo to describe possible causes.

Fasciculations of muscle

Considerations:
Muscle twitching is the result of minor local muscle contractions or the uncontrollable twitching of a single muscle group served by a single motor nerve fiber or filament.

Muscle twitches are minor and often go unnoticed. Some are common and normal, while others indicate a neurologic disorder.

Common Causes:

benign , nonpathologic fasciculations (not caused by disease or disorders) often affect the eyelids, calf, or thumb normal and quite common, often triggered by stress , anxiety

a diet deficiency
drug overdose
drug side effect (such as diuretics, corticosteroids and estrogens)

Note: There may be other causes of muscle twitching. This list is not all inclusive, and the causes are not presented in order of likelihood. The cause of this symptom can include unlikely diseases and medications. Furthermore, the causes may vary based on age and gender of the affected person, as well as on the specific characteristics of the symptom such as location, quality, time course, aggravating factors, relieving factors, and associated complaints.

What about when your blood vessels "twitch"?
Are you serious??? That's a new one on me.

Yeah, prolly all the stimulants I take.

But I have one vein near my knee and one on the upper forearm that kinda spasms occasionally. I can see the vein too, it's definately not a muscle.

This annoying problem will also occur more frequenly if in a state of acute or systemic overtraining....your body is giving you the heads up...listen to it!

I get them in my tris too...

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
OK, why not start a huge argument this early in the morning? Since we're on the subject of muscle twitches, I get them in a very specific spot on my UPPER pecs. Right around the pec/delt tie in. Does this mean only a PORTION of the muscle is contracting and not the whole thing???

Man,I'm way too tired to deal with this, lol.

Oh PULEEZE!!! A single syllable answer??? You're gonna have to do better than that and I know you've got it in you. If I'm twitching in a VERY specific spot on a muscle that tells me only a certain amount of fibers IN that muscle are contracting. If that's the case, how come I keep hearing "It's all or nothing" when it comes to muscle contraction?

so are you saying that I am overtraining or not taking enough potassium and magnesuim? Or is there nothing wrong with this?:toilet:

Game...I wouldn't worry about it too much.We all go through it.However,if it is happening everday, all day long, than you may have a problem. It could be that you need a few days off.It could be high stress levels,physically/emotionally.Or,you may be low on certain key minerals,i.e.,electrolytes.
