Hey thanks for taking time to look at this. This is my first time cutting and here are my stats:
5'11"
167 lbs
17 y/o

My goal is to get a 6-pack and i've read that to get one I have to eat right, so heres my cutting plan. Please tell me what you guys think, I read the cutting sticky and alot of others posts while I was at work today and found these forums to be very helpful. The main thing im worried about is if this is going to be too much protein because the calculator said to use 187g but i went a little over, also im not sure about the supplements, am i taking enough fish oil? should I take anything else for cutting? I dont think I can take caffeine because I'm doing Swole and wouldnt want the two to counteract each other. But any other comments at all are also welcome.

between which meals is your workout?

Is that 2 fish oil (ie 2 caps) or 2 grams EPA/DHA?

Your diet lacks healthy fats and its too low in fat. What is meal 1? Carb choices such as white potatoes and Kellogs cereal is not great. You should be having Oatmeal and Sweet potatoes instead. Also, I think your protein is too low for your bodyweight.

Like the Title said, Its 2am here, and I'm wired on Vivarin from driving back from the U.P. of Michigan - so sorry if I'm picky or on edge :hot: :hot: :hot: :hot: :P

Unless thats natty pb, there are better meals - some eggs and oatmeal are quick to cook up and provide plenty of protein, good fats and complex carbs.

Is this postworkout? I'm just guessing, if so, not bad :D

If this is your last meal before bed - I'd say cut the carbs and try to find a protein source that digests slower. A cheap one would be some cottage cheese and say natty pb or flax oil (I eat this every night and just down the oil with water - its disgusting :P ). If you have some more $$$ to spend, try checking on BSL and making a custom casein protein (I recommend 50% Casein, 25% Egg, 25% Whey concentrate or isolate)

I've never seen any results with glutamine or cla - but I will not say stop taking them because their are plenty of people that have. Just some constructive critism I guess :)

May ask how much your looking to lose and your current bf%? If you can guesstimate or get it taken? Just because your 2" taller then myself and at 167 lbs you cant be looking to lose that much.
All in all, maybe increase the fiber and for sure more good fats. Just switch some of the carb sources and I think your good :thumb: :D
Once again, sorry if anything seems rude - I'm just so tired - But I cant sleep :( :( :(

Thanks for the replies. the fish oil is 360mg EPA and 240mg DHA. Chocolate peanut butter oatmeal is 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein, 1tbsp peanut butter, and 1/2 cup of skim milk (its really good).

If I replace the kellogs with Fiber One, the potato with sweet potato, and add real butter to the sweet potato will that make this diet any better?

BTW the Myoplex is post workout and again, thanks alot for the fast responses.

i'm no expert, but from personal experience i find that eating more than 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight is too much for my system to process... i seem to be able to gain by sticking to only 1 gram per lb and i find when i eat any more than that i get really bad gas and stomach aches... also, i've read many credible articles which state that the body can't use much more than 1 gram per lb in a day anyways... i guess everybody's body is different, but from my standing, the horrible gas and stomach aches are enough to keep me eating no more than 1 gram per lb per day...

you think his protein is too low jodi, that is about 1.25 x his body weight and about 45 % of his diet

I just feel men should go for 1.5 grams at minimum.

I seem to come up with a 1903 in your total calories. At 5'11" 167 lbs you should be able to cut up quit a bit. But most everything looks good, all I can see is the carbs need to come down a little and need to be slow burning. Make sure that you get the omega 3,6,9 fats in your diet. Where's the cardio, how do you train ?
