In this thread it says a degree is required for NASM certification, but I can't find any such statement on the NASM Requirements webpage
Is a degree really required?
Does it have to be related?
I have a degree, but it's in Business & Finance.
I'd like a PT qualification of some sort. I spend megabucks on training & nutrition related books anyway. I may as well invest in some that would result in a qualification.
Any recommendations?
I've heard of
ISSA, NSCA, NASM and ACSM but I'm not sure what would be most beneficial. I don't want to be a full-time trainer, but a few healthy clients would be kinda cool. I've learned so much already. It would be nice to give back / help others.
