1 Cup Natural Peanut Butter (i.e. Adams)
8 Tablespoons Honey
1 & 1/4 Cups Whey Protein Powder
1 Cup Uncooked Oatmeal

Mix the peanut butter and honey in a bowl, microwave on high for 80 secs. Add the rest and mix together; can add raisins, nuts, etc., for more flavor.

Smooth into a 13x9 tray and let set for 20 minutes. Cut into 10 to 12 equal bars, wrap bars and store in fridge.

(I have not made these yet!)

prince do you know the stats on this bar. I could figure it out but if you had it around that would be cool

i have made these using vanilla protein, they were amazing, but very calorie dense.

gotta go get some natty PB and I will try them with chocolate whey

if you were concerned on lowering the cals a bit you could also just makie it 1/2cup peanut butter and add in 1/2cup natural applesauce instead.

Chocolate PB Protein Bars

I haven't tried these but they look decent.

2 Level scoops of chocolate protein powder
1 Tablespoon of natural peanut butter
1/4 Cup steel cut oatmeal
4 Egg whites
1/4 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 Cup unsweetened applesauce

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix the egg whites and uncooked oatmeal. Add the remaining ingredients.
Spray a nonstick cooking spray in an 8"x8" baking dish. Spread the mixture in an even layer, over the bottom of the dish. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edge starts to pull away from the sides of the dish.

Let cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars.

Makes 9 bars.

you would have to look up each ingrediant, the amount used then divide by how many bars you divide it all into.

that sounds like waaaay too much time! :)

i have it I can look it up, it on my fitday account. I'll get back to you later on this

Steel cut oats is better for you than rolled oats. Its the oat grout that has been cut into pieces instead of rolled out. They are more dense in carbs but they are so much tastier IMO. They take 1/2 hour to cook too but OMG they are so worth it.

Now I want to get some :nanner:

Any natural food store will have them. They are called Irish Oats or Steel Cut Oats. As always, DON'T get the instant kind :D

right b/c I would have to give you access to my account to do that. Hang on a sec Iwill get it

that is cut into 12 bars I think so for the whole batch you would have to multiply by 12

I eat mine raw. Do you think that's okay? I normally have it for my second meal of the day. I mix in some flax meal and protein powder (and sometimes a little wheat bran), add milk and eat. It's one of my favorites.

You eat steel cut oats raw

That must kill your teeth.

X ring: how did you come up with those numbers? I entered the info on fit day and came out with diff and higher numbers.

I did it on fitday entering all the stuff then divided by 12. so 1 serving is 1 bar and 1/12 of the total batch, i could have messed something up along the way, it isnt beyond me
