need advice on a routine

im new to the gym scene and having access to real weight equipment and people with actual knowlege..any way i want to loose gut,body fat, and get bigger and ripped. i currently do one muscle group a day 4 sets of 10 of multible exercises then 30min cardio right after. would split routines be better? can i do cardio on days off? please advise!!:hmmm:
 
Read the stickies IMO. They have all of the info you're looking for and they'll show you how to set up a program.
 
No. Take gtbmed's advice. Read the stickies in the New Members Forum. Then read all the stickies in the training and Diet&Nutrition forums. All your answers are there. If you still have questions, ask away.b
 
I mean, you don't have to read every sticky. The most important things to read are:

That should cover almost everything you need from a training perspective. If you have more specific questions then we can provide more specific answers. I know that "read the stickies" sounds like a lazy way out for me and a lot of work for you, but trust me, I've read them and they have a lot of good information in them.
 
thanks for all the feed back,decided on a four day split for now cardio on days off and getting diet in check,really need to do streching never have i know its important thanks again
