I'm 21, 6'2", 208 lbs, with about 21%bf -- I'm mainly looking to cut.
For the past months I've been surfing these forums and following general diet and training advice and have slowly increased my lean muscle mass while roughly maintaining my overall weight (most likely cuz I was a beginner).
Now I'm looking to get more strict about my diet and start counting cals. I'm thinking about experimenting with a low or moderate carb diet. I have a flexible schedule, good willpower, and am not attached to carbs at all (I can live without my oats or brown rice). I'm thinking about experimenting with the anabolic diet (approx. 60% fat, 40% protein, <30 carbs on weekdays; 60% carbs, 20% each fat & protein on weekends) at about 3000 cals/day.
Any advice or stories on how well this works, or should I choose an alternative?
