A close friend of my dad's runs a massage/physical therapy center. he makes good money. One of his revenue streams is that he has a massage therapy teaching license(Im not sure if that's the correct term), and it works in two ways for him. students pay him money to get a massage therapy license(or whatever) and he gets free workers to massage his pt patients.

happy ending.....now

I'm enrolled back in school now. My job comes with a lot of down time, so I'm going to use it wisely and hop into some online classes, to get started.

These are some of the things I have in mind:

-Sports Medicine
-Physical Therapy
-Massage Therapy(most likely)

Anyone have any experience in one of these fields?
Or have any good suggestions?

<3 u
do all 3 , i at a time, do online personal trainer classes too, buy a tanning bed , hot tub, saunna, open your own heath spa. your young, just do what your gonna do before you get to old and end up in your 30's and working at a factory, or unemployed.

Im back in school pusuing a medical technology degree. Afterwards i may take another yr to get the requirements to be a physicians assistant specializing in endocrinology. Its really been a great experience thus far. I say go for what you love and if it also helps others all the better. Good luck either way you choose.

if you want a real job then you need some good 4 year schooling. you dont have to deciede until close to your 2nd year.

Massage therapy is great but once you start there I`d persue Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine. If you get a gig with a sports team or college, your in a great position. You will ALWAYS find work.

Bro,
I've got a masters degree in exercise physiology, and it's basically worthless. If i had it to do over again, I'd do physical therapy, no doubt. They make great money and always have work.

Sports medicine is a similar route to what I took, and most of your options are to work for a sport team and get yelled at by asshole football players. I was a trainer for a college football team and i spent way too much time wrapping ankles, getting them drinks, and wiping sweat off of those fuckers. I was a trainer for a college softball team though, and I got to give quite a few massages to some hot girls, but most of them were pretty manly.

This is a no brainer, except physical therapy now requires a doctoral degree and the programs are extremely hard to get in. your grades need to be near perfect. If you can do it, you'll be so happy you did.

Well pal...

I think you should stick to what your good at, and of course that's...

Taking it up the butt... in the mouth. etc...

:jerkit: Daddy loves you !

Thanks for the input. It's appreciated and noted.

Physical therapy would be the best choice on your list. I believe it will also take the most education. If you can't, or aren't interested in going to school that long, a physical therapy assistant earns reasonable wages. The PT assistant course are often 2 years long. Here is a link to more info: Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides

Massage therapy can be very benificial to some patients. It is also a reasonably short course of study. As I understand it, women tend to have somewhat of an advantage in obtaining patients / clients in massage therapy. Many females would prefer to have another female massage them. Many men would also prefer to have a female (particularly a hot female) give them a massage as well. If you want some additional info on massage: Massage Therapists

good info. Just remember that massage therapy can be very hard on the body and makes it difficult to do it full time. Can you imagine massaging for 8 hours a day? It's also much more difficult for males to get clients.

Physical therapists are highly respected medical professionals, and massage therapists aren't taken very seriously. go for PT, and then you can incorporate massage when working on a hot girl... or guy

Glad I made this thread. Liking the input.

Nursing! Good money and in most places a stable job. Plenty of room for advancement and specialization with additional schooling. As a male you will have far more opportunities then female nurses.

I don't want to be a Murse.......
HAHA, jk. If I was to go that route, I'll hit up GFR.
At this point though, it doesn't interest me.

Yep, I'm going back to school for my RN license. My wife is an RN, I call her my sugar mamma. She makes 80,000 plus a year and only works 3-12 hours shifts a week. She also receives 6 weeks of paid vacation a year and she just got a $6,000 sign on bonus for a new job.

And, you can get your license in 2 years, after completing some prerequisites.

So, about that nursing program......lol
I heard that there is usually a long wait to get into the actually program.

yep, I'm currently waiting, hoping for 2013. some do a lottery, some do a wait list.

I hear you about not wanting to be a murse, trust me, it's not what I envisioned for myself. But, there are so many positions that don't require all of the shit work. and the amount of time off and the pay, it's hard to pass up. We can basically move where ever we want to and always have a great paying job.

RN is where its at for Benny IMO.

I know several PTs and they are doing very well but fuck 6 years of school for that BS and that's if you ever get into PT school.

HAHAHA. Apparently, you didn't see the picture I posted.....
Feel lucky. It's something that can't be unseen....

The big bonus about being a male nurse, if you ever end up single again you are surrounded by lots of women who all know how to milk the prostate.

hahaha, I think girls would be more grossed out than guys. My friends Mom said the same thing LOL. Just going to have to suck it up.

I'll open my own practice, and have a shower room in the building, and make showers beforehand a mandatory thing lol

See, now that I could deal with. The girl I go to, I see her clients before and after me and I'm just sayn', couldn't do it.

I hope you find your passion :)
