ive been cutting for almost 3 months now and i started at 5'9 210lbs. i am now 5'9 170 but i still have fat around my mid-section.although i went from a 38in waist to a 32.5in waist, i still have fat there. everywhere else on my body is tight, im taking hydroxycut, some other supps, i burn 7-800 cals 6 days a week plus lifting after school. i take in no more than 15-1600 calories a day. does anyone have any ideas on how i can get rid of this last amount of fat? i really bounce up and down with my emotions and attitude towards this because i am a natural athlete and am very active but yet ive been at this weight with this last amount of fat for about 3 weeks now.

sorry if that was jumbled

anyways heres my daily diet(approx.)

Meal 1: 4egg white 1 yolk(scrambled) 1slice of whole wheat toast with thin layer of natural peanut butter.

Meal 2: this meal varies but usually either a side salad and burger patty or chili from Wendy's.

Meal 3:PWO- banana with something containing protein.

Meal 4: snack, usually something like a small amount of carrots or some kind of veggie.

Meal 5: varies as well, i try to make this chicken and veggies as much as possible.

its kinda hard to have an exact diet because i have a big family with not much money, so i do what i can.

any help or positive criticism is greatly appreiciated.

thanks

i got the same problem man, i lost 90 - 100 lbs and everywhere is beautiful except my lower abdomen. the "pouch" if you will or some ladies call it the "pooch". it's very stressful because it looks out of porportion to the rest of my body, but my family tells me it's probably loose skin. let me know if anything works for you cuz this is one area i've had trouble with myself.

i even had myself down to 160lbs at one time and people started saying i looked like a crackhead because for my larger frame 160lbs looks unhealthy on me so i figured it was either extremely stubborn fat that i couldn't lose with weight loss or something else was going on there.

thanks will, and i will keep at it.

and to you elite, it worries me to think that it could be oose skin because ive worked so hard to get where im at. i sure hope its fat because if it is i WILL lose it its just a matter of time.my "pooch" area also doesnt match the rest of my body and i hate that. ill let you know if anything happens that will help you.

it is very likely there is loose skin if you've lost that much weight, but it shouldn't be a problem forever. Have you gotten your body fat tested. The diet you described is very agressive. You had a huge caloric deficit and you lost weight. The problem is that you also lost lean mass in the process most likely so your metabolism has slowed down. Your body also has defense mechanisms that will hold on to stored body fat when you essentially starve yourself while dieting. There are numerous ways to break through plateaus. I like carb cyling. Do some research on breaking plateaus or carb cycling. There is a way to get rid of the fat, it will just take some research and experimenting on your part, good luck.

Great post! Thanks man. I did the Atkins diet, so I'm sure it was lower in calories than I probably required, and you are correct, my strength from before and after the diet was a significant difference. I was so much weaker afterwards, so how long should skin take to tighten up? If you know much about that.

Read the diet stickies, this diet is incomplete.

Congrats on the weight loss, but chances are you lost a good amount of muscle in the process. I personally suggest you carb cycle for 2 weeks to see how much leaner you can get. Theres alot more you can do when you cycle carbs as opposed to a plain jane caloric deficit(which is not good to begin with). Just because you burn 800 cals per day and only eat 1500 cals a day doesnt mean your doing the best you can. It sounds like you are eating way too little and focusing on cardio way too much.

Read the stickies.

Firstly, congrats on the weight loss. I think you may have abit of loose skin there, which may be because you lost all that fat in such a small amount of time. Perhaps if you give it a few months, things will start to tighten up abit.
