Whats up everybody. Well i've been dieting for about 6 months now i was 215pds now 160pds and i'm 5'10". I feel great the only thing is i have a cheat day on sunday i eat what i want but this week so far i cant stop eating crap i just have cravings for everything and i dont get full. I need help as to why i'm feeling this way is my body trying to tell me something. I've been on a low carb, medium fat high protien diet and i'm about 6% bodyfat. Thanks for any info.

That's one bad thing about coming off low carb diets. I know when I have stopped the diet I am an eating machine. The bad thing is eventually you will start to store fat again from the overeating. I don't know what to tell you except try to control it. It's your blood sugar level trying to get back to normal because it hasn't seen sugar in a while. I forget how long mine lasted but it goes away. Try not to pig out too much, although it's so much fun isn't it.:thumb:

Congrats on losing all that weight. Enjoy eating a bit you've earned it.

Try and swing your carb consumption in the direction of more slow burning carbs rather than junk food. This should help you get your cravings under control.

Ditto.

Are you training for a competition? Are you trying to get lower than 6%?

toddlex you mention a "cheat" (or "free") day. Is this just something you decided to include, or are you following Bill Phillips Body-for-Life program?

:)

Actually now that I read your post again, that's probably a no.

Body-for-Life as far as I know doesn't really encourage much dietary fat, and also sees carbs as being important.

Just wondered because you mentioned a "cheat" day.

Thanks everybody for the advice. I'm undercontrol again weigh myself tonight 161pds so tomrorrow morning i should be 159pds i'm usually two pounds off. I'm sort of following the body for life but not completely. The cheat day really works i do it every sunday to kind of shock my metabolism by the end of each week i'm a pound or 2 lighter i actually got down to 156pds alittle to light. I tell you one thing dieting seriously really controls your life i'm always moody i cant go out anymore i still cant control temptation and this has been for 7 months but when i look in the mirror i'm happy with the results. Thanks again.

Do you have a whole "cheat" day, or simply one meal?

A friend of mine followed BFL, but on cheat day ate only one "cheat" meal.

What meals and amounts does you "cheat" day consist of?

Sorry for all the questions :p

Well actually this morning i was 158pds i was off a pound. As far as the cheat day it usually the whole day but if i get cravings on sat night i will eat cookies, icecream you name it but then on sunday i will only cheat for half the day i have been trying to behave alittle more on sunday i try to eat alot of pasta which i like and less sugary stuff. When i first started the diet i found it real hard to cheat on sundays until i realized it really it does shock the body and i'm full all the time so by time monday comes around i dont even want to look at food. I also eat very few calories certain days today i had so far just 750 calories and its 6pm 2 more meals at 400 each thats 1550 or less depends how i feel i like to constantly shock the body i feel it really helps. Now i have to be carefull not to lose to much weight i never thought i'd have that problem. Its funny once i hit 30 the weight didn't want to come off that easy now i'm 33 and everybody at the gym say i'm ready to do a show but not yet i'm still learning that diet is like 90% on how you look. I hoped this helped and thanks to everybody for their feed back.

Hmm I was thinking the same thing ;) When i'm around 8% I feel ripped I see no reason to go under 8% if your not trying to compete.Seems you did great losing weight on your diet.Just make sure your not getting obsessed with it bro :thumb:

Thanks. I know what you mean alot of people have given me negative remarks but these people dont workout so they dont know what i'm trying to do. This might sound conceded but i took some pics of myself posing so when people make negative remarks i have proof of what i'm trying to accomplish. Thanks to everybody for the confidence by the way i went to the doctor and everything was great i also told the doctor if he sends the blood out to check my testoterone level so i will keep everybody updated.

Sorry to bump this topic back up again. On the "cheat" day again.

Do you have 6 smaller meals of junk food, or just eat until you are full?

I eat at anytime i want but usually on those days i feel like crap because i cannot control myself. But at the end of the day i remember how i always used to feel full, bloated all day so by time monday comes around i'm ready to go back on the diet.
