I am 21 5'9 about 170 I never been on a diet before I just eat what ever I want. I've been working out for about 6 weeks now and I'm looking for a diet to get a little bit of fat off from over my muscles. Any one got any suggestions

oh man, if you do this right and adapt this lifestyle you will be a changed man, not only physically but also mentaly, your whole life will change and you will be more disciplined in all aspects of your life....Welcome and good luck, oh and another thing, the only time people here will get mad at you is when you post in the Anabolic zone regarding a cycle that you will be using soon....do research about anabolics but DO NOT consider using any yet or for a couple of years...

Dieting will be the hardest thing to do that you ever did in ur life, but it pays off.

I recommend going to bodybuilding.com and looking for some info on there. They have some good recipes that have helped me out a lot.
Also, if you're going to stick to this you cannot view it as a diet. It is going to take a whole new mode of thinking.
My first suggestions to you would be to not be afraid of eating. Eat every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolism up. Also try to eat relatively "clean." If you do not know what this means, go to bodybuilding.com.
Also do not be afraid of healthy carbs. They are the body's main souce of energy and the breakdown of carbs is a precursor to the breakdown of fat. There is much physiology behind this, if you care to know I can tell. If not that's fine, I know I am a phys nerd.

I'll make it short and simple. If your looking to lose some body fat, find out what your BMR is, BMR Calculator and maintenance requirements. It's different for every person, but this link will give you a general idea.

Then, go to LIVESTRONG.COM - Health, Fitness, Lifestyle, make an account and track the number of calories you eat in a day. Eat 500 calories a day under maintenance and see where your at. Your goal here is to lose 1-1.5lbs a week. If you don't lose any weight, then lower the calories another 200 a day until you do so.

The only way to lose weight, is to burn more calories than you consume on a day to day bases. Good luck and welcome to the forums! :thumb:

I usually dont eat till lunch i will have like a cheeseburger and some fries than for dinner more the time some pasta and every once in a white a steak and then i usually eat again later at night like a sandwich. But i also eat a lot of fast food for lunch.
