Hey all, just wanted to stop by and introduce myself as a new member on Iron Magazine Forums.
I've been studying bodybuilding and nutrition on the side for about 4 years. I'm not as committed as I'd like to be, meaning I haven't tried to come up with a solid long term lifetime plan.
I'm 6'1" and with the help of other forums and its members, have gone from 135 lbs to 185 where I've been sitting for about a year now. So I have done a decent amount of research and am happy with the results, and I know communities like this one work and I'm happy to be a member here, and look forward to contributing.
I'm currently on vacation from weightlifting, and have just completed a P90X routine, and am working on a 90 day ab routine. I've always neglected core, and this marks the end of that time period.
Depending on how schedules go, I may start lifting again either in the mornings solo 5am or with a couple friends after work around 6pm. Best stats that I've done are:
200 bench press
325 dead lift
325 squat
Tore my medial meniscus playing MMA warrior last spring just after getting married. Made for not a fun time at the beach. Still recovering from that, and I believe plyometric training played a large part in getting back to where I am now.
Have a great day, and I look forward to seeing you all out in the forums.
Robert
