hello, im sort of a begginer,

For my training schedule i was planning on exercising three times a week. If i exercise two seperate muscle groups each time i exercise will i still see benifits.

eg mon - arms and back
wed- legs and chest
fri - shoulders and stomach

what i am basicly saying is is one session a week sufficient for each muscle group

thank you

DAVE,

A couple things - first, three times a week is enough to see some steady progress. I prefer to hit the gym 4-5 days a week myself, but everyone is different and has different schedules so that might not be practical for you. The other thing that I would suggest is breaking up your Monday "Arms" for this reason: Combining biceps, triceps, AND back is going to make for longer at the gym than you may be expecting. Also, from other workouts I have seen, biceps and triceps are almost always separated on different days. Others here who are MUCH more knowledgable than I am will be able to offer the specific reasoning behind this. I am by no means an expert, but thought I would take a stab and offer at least a partial answer for you. Good luck!
