i must be doing something wrong because i am not getting a good pump after my workouts. how long should i hold the weight at the concentric point of the exercise? i have been holding for about 1 second, should i do 2? 3? any help is appreciated...

The pump means nothing. It's like how popular you are in high school. It's like removing a single grain of sand from the beach or a gallon of water from the ocean. Don't focus on the pump; focus on results.

i wasnt really focused on it until it stopped. i had been getting really good pumps and then this week they just arent there. i just switched workouts so could that have something to do with it?

The fact that they're gone doesn't mean anything. Don't worry about it. It's just like getting sore - whether it happens or not, you can still have great results and should rely solely on progress and numbers.

If you just want the pump because you like the feel then just do a high volume routine with fairly short rest intervals. However, it's not really going to affect your progress one way or the other.

Could be your diet.

Pump= More than usual amount of blood in your muscles. Some people don't get pumps at all, yet they still gain. The pump means pretty much nothing as far as hypertrophy goes.

Although having a pump is extremely important for bodybuilding contests.
