Related to tendonitis in the elbow? I get it a lot after training and sometimes just outta nowhere lately.

Are you drunk?

Could also be Ulnar Nerve Entrapement, where the nerve that runs through the two boney parts of the elbow gets pinched when lifting heavy weights (and other causes). I have it and my hand goes numb from it (especially after heavy tricep training - had to stop doing skullcrushers and heavy pressdowns). Might be a good idea to get some nerve conduction studies done as you don't want to leave it unchecked and have permanent nerve damage

Thanks Velvet, I'll add this to this list of things to get checked out this week

The Test is called EMG.

actually it's called an NCV (nerve conductance velocity).....although an EMG may be a good place to start as they are generally cheaper.

also, you didnt elaborate...is it your whole hand....if it is then it is less likely an entrapment as they generally follow dermatomal distribution.

Also check what is called "capillary refill" to see if it is a vascular problem.....basically just squeeze your fingernail for a sec till it turns white then let go....it should get pink/red again very quickly...compare it to your good hand...they should be equal...if not...maybe look into seeing a vascular specialist.

but do describe your symptoms in more detail.

I did the check and it looks good.

The numbness is in my whole hand I believe. It lasts for usually around 20 minutes

I'll get it checked out this Fri.

Thx everyone :)
