Okay to use decline benches in westside?

I was wondering, is it okay to use decline benchpressing for a couple of weeks during a max effort lift day? I was looking through some logs of westside routines and saw other lifts being used but didn't recall seeing decline benching being included.
 
I can't see why it couldn't be. most people on ME days PREFER doing flat bench, so I guess it's sort of an opinion, plus decline<<flat - that's my opinion.
 
Yeah, I just want to change around the type of exercise that I do for my max effort day every couple of weeks, I figure I haven't done decline presses for max effort yet.
 
Just wondering, I know everyone is different, but would the max on the decline be around the same as the max on flat benching?
 
You'll probably find that you can press a good deal more decline.
 
It wouldn't really matter. You can still progress with decline bench and get stronger, but if it isn't within the realms of Westside it isn't Westside.
