I've recently discovered these delicious things we call Omelets,an was just wondering if they are OK to eat?I'm not bulking or cutting really and no diet as such just make sure get lots of protein and eating clean.

Omelets consits
4 eggs
chicken
Cheese
Red & Green peppers
Fried

Omelets are great, although I'd lose some of the egg yolks (too much fat; use one egg and a bunch of whites) and the "fried" part. Use a decent nonstick pan, and some cooking spray (or just wipe round the pan with an oiled paper towel).

Apart from that, as long as you go very easy on the cheese (or use lowfat cheese) omelets are a great way to devour the eggs which almost every lifter consumes in mass quantities.

Use Pam or cooking spray to make them. watch the cheese and yolks.

I LOVE them!!! But, I use 1 cup egg whites + 1 whole egg and lots of veggies and a little FF cheese!! Yum!

I wouldn't use too many whole eggs because of the fat, but it's not going to kill you as some people might lead you to believe. I use one whole egg and 2 servings of whites (1/2 cup I think; I'm not really sure). Go easy on the cheese and you'll be good to go.

Cherrs guys, couldn't see there been to much wrong with one,but never hered anyone speak about them so was just a bit concerned.Don't really like cheese anyway so is allways just a tiny bit for added flav.

Ill take note of useing less whole eggs and give whites a try thanx.

2 whole egggs
1/2 cup egg white
tomatoes, spinach, green pepper and yummy spices!!!!!

Love'em. I usually use 5 whites and 2 whole eggs with low fat cheese and some cayenne pepper/cajun seasoning.

oh yeah I use a little olive oil to fry them.

honestly, i cannot say there is anything better than aborted chicken fetus in the morning.

I notice since I've been home from college I've been cooking myself a 4:1 ratio of whites/whole every morning...more often though using about 6-7 whites but never breaking the one whole egg a day.

More of the caloric value is in the whole egg (95-97 calories in the whole compared to something like 17 in one egg white) but all the protein is still in the whites so i just adjust my meal needs accordingly(5-7 depending on the size of the egg) as well as save me some cholesterol problems in the future. At school I'll just ask for an omlette with 2 serv. of white (frozen beater type) and one whole egg+raw broccoli+peppers+tomatoes...

i think it was the eggs i ate for lunch when i didnt do them for breakfast that helped me out...i was so accustomed to the ease of walking in the cafeteria and hitting up the salad bar's pre-shelled hard boiled eggs by the end of last semester i was averaging about 15 egg whites per day (10 at one meal usually)...just throw a dozen of those babies on a plate and split them in half and wolf them down. I've found I'm way to lazy to make them at home so the skillet it is.

I'm going to have my cholesterol taken again later this month and I don't think I'll be suprised. Eggs on a BV scale are an excellent source of protein and if eaten the right way (I say 4:1 as thats what most nutrtionists agree on) I dont think you could run into any serious health risks...besides maybe salmonella (which is something I've already dealt with in my lifetime...so be careful with eggs/chicken! it sucks)
