If you're trying to gain mass at the same time, then I would say early in the day. That way you get several meals in you before you goto sleep. However, whenever you can fit it in is better than not at all.
I read somehwere that testosterone levels are higher at around 4pm (if your body clock is set to a 7am wake up) so working out now is ideal, personally whenever i feel most energetic and motivated!
Your teststerone levels are highest in the AM, hence morning wood. GH is going to be highest at night during sleep. I dont see myself going to the gym as soon as I roll out of bed and having a kick ass workout.
I can only work late at night when the gym isnt bussy otherwise you cant get in a single workout. And i have late classes. Just wanted to make sure late isnt a bad thing.
I do it late night cause that when i have time to do it. I feel that if i do it early morning i dont have enoughenergy cause i have not eaten much befor hand. Plus you feel dead during the day if you go to hard
I used to workout in the late afternoon or evening. I saw gains and felt motivated during my workouts. Now, I workout within an hour of waking up, and I see gains and feel motivated to workout. I haven't notied much difference, but I have read a few of the IM gurus mention the morning being optimal.
