i think i may be over training...i go to the gym and feel exhausted after around 30 - 40minutes excercise but if i continue to push my self i can reach a new strength asif to say and be pumped but my odd side effect is that i seem to look smaller than ever after but do not have any muscle soreness..
am i overtraining or simply not eating enough and loosing weight
my old excersice used to give me a tight and sore chest but now i include my old work out but saty for longer and push harder.
please
an help?

How many times per week are you training?

muscle tightness and/or soreness is no indication of hypertrophy, so I wouldn't worry about that. If you want to get that feeling back though, try switching your exercises to some new ones. Visit ExRx.net for ideas.

How good is your nutrition before you go lift? Sounds like your body is just outta fuel. Also, hydration is a big factor. Gotta keep the fluids comin'.

i do not have set days but i would say 4 times a week

i do drink a couple cups of water walst training but often this makes me feel sick, i just find it weird that i do not have any tightness or soreness even tho i am training more, i would also say my workout is manily on my chest, if that helps..

o n if my body is out of fuel, how come i can seem to carry on with heavier weights, i am just wurried i am overtraining muscles so they cannot grow and because i am duin so much i am just then burning fat,or muscle if that is possible..

Mainly on your chest...well that would probably explain it. You've probably plateaud...and I'll assume that since you are not feeling a "burn" then you are upping your sets and/or reps. This just makes it more of a cardio workout...hence the instant fatigue.

My Suggestion? Perhaps lay off the chest for awehile and focus and working your body so that it is symmetrical. Guranteed thopse unused muscles will make you not only sore, but boost your progress.

Carbs are fun too

no i am just duin my origanal workout on the bench press but then duin extra work outs lyk dumbell flys and presses

So wait. Let me clarify. You are saying that after 30-40 minutes of working out you get exhausted. However, if you force yourself to keep working out you still lift heavier weights? At the same time, you don't get sore and you think you are shrinking?

Just clarify please, I honestly couldn't fully understand what you were saying.

yes what u said is exactly right that is why i think i am overtraining but i am geting different side effects
that is why i registered to this website..to find out why..

you should really only train for a hour at the most. Dont stop was right if you have some simple carbs pre workout you will get a great pump and your muscles will become much larger.

drink some dextrose or maltdex and you will notice a big difference
