As some may know, I am in the stages of coming back from an extended lay off. I have been working out for almost 8 weeks now and while I am not nearly as strong as I was my body is feeling good and sturdy.
This week I have dropped the rep range on all my lifts from 12 to 10 and increased the weight. Thursday was My deadlift night. My deadlift has been coming along well and I added about 20 or so pounds to it.
While completeing sets 2 and even more so for 3, I had to push it. It felt great, form was good, but it was a level of intensity I have not yet experienced since my layoff.
Friday morning when I got out of bed there was an intense soreness and/or pain in both my feet. And it continues today which is more than 24 hours from it intially being noticed.
It is focused mainly towards the back of my feet or the heel area. There is also soreness although not as noticable along the outside of my feet. I notice when I stay off them the intial couple of minutes of walking are extremely painful, but it seems to subside significantly the longer I am moving around.
Anybody experience this or have any advice?
