They use it in place of trans fats (which are correlated with heart disease, via inflammation (at least through partial hydrogenation, CLA is good for you if eaten directly from the source)) as a healthy alternative as far as I can tell, to get that "sticky yet solid feel".Thanks. I was wanting to know because I have found a place to buy all natural almond butter and the other ingredients besides almonds is palm oil. It is also in some peanut butters.

I was actually in a discussion awhile back about whether Smart Balance's all-natural peanut butter was really all-natural, because apparently some people don't think palm oil comes from nature.Yeah, I was pretty sure they used it to make the all natural peanut butter stick together so you don't have to stir it and keep it all natural. I would like to put some almond butter in my diet and it's the only one I can find that is local (the one that has palm oil).

Well, even arsenic is needed in our diet, though in small amounts. But then you have to argue about soy for men as well (though soy can reduce hot flashes for women). Now assuming you don't have an allergy, I'd say most natural things are good for you by an overwhelming majority.Well, I think it is all natural, but I'm not an expert. Even so that don't mean it's good for you although natural things generally are there are some that are not. They have some all natural peanut butter and almond butters that all have palm oil. I can find the all natural peanut butter without palm oil (the kind you have to stir), but I can find all natural almond butter that don't contain it locally.

Almond butter is fantastic for you, though I'd have to give peanut butter the taste portion of my vote.Understand. I usually eat a couple of spoonfuls of all natural peanut butter in the evening and at times I will eat it for lunch. I want to switch to almond butter for awhile as I've heard the benefits of almonds outweigh peanuts although I'm not looking at giving up peanut butter all together.
