Im gonna pick up one of those chutes that you sprint with. Does anyone use one and do you need another person to lift it off the ground before you take off running?

If anyone knows of a good site online to pick one up, please post here. What would be a good price to spend as well.

Used them in high school. It will work fine by yourself. I would think a google search would find a place to purchase them. Maybe even amazon or eBay.

Why do you want to increase your sprint speed? I've read some controversy about the "benefits" of overspeed and resistance sprint training. You might be better off saving your money and pursuing alternate methods of getting a faster 40. Not like they are really all that expensive...

Personally, I would rather do hill sprints. Find a nice inclined hill or road, I'm talking 15%-25%, maybe 30-40 yards in length. Sprint up, walk down, and repeat.

Or, you could try running in the sand. This really helps build the lower legs, calves, ankles and such. And you might meet a hot chick in the process.

I agree with Ezskanken, ive trained using all kinds of different methods. I get the best results from sprinting up hills. Get a buddy and you guys race each other up, it works for me.. Im 37 and still play competively(travel flag football & softball), I have to do whatever it takes these days to stay with the younger guys now.

maybe if you're a world class sprinter, i would say use one. then again, if you are a world class sprinter, chutes are provided by your coach and sponsors..

if you're just an average athlete wanting to get a bit faster in the sprints, gets some tips from sprinters at the track and field web page...

whats your best 100 meter time?
