What are some healthy sauces you guys use for flavoring your pastas? Are there healthy sauces out there that you can buy instead of needing to make from scratch? I was thinking along the lines of tomato and perhaps alfredo sauce.
I was always under the impression that the stuff we could buy at the supermarket was too processed and preserved. Am I wrong to assume this? Apparently Prego offers an "organic" tomato sauce... but I don't know if it's any good or not taste or healthwise.. this is all I could find about it:

I think Alfredo is a cheesey type sauce, I don't really know how to explain it.. it's white if that helps. I would like to be able to find a pasta sauce that I would be comfortable eating every week or so. I'm trying to get really into this cooking thing and would like to be able to cook it for a date, among a lot of other things I already cook. I'm just missing pasta and sandwiches pretty much.
Check out Trader Joes if you have then there. They have an excellent selection of sauces which have fewer grams of sugar than those and chances are they will be cheaper
