A lot of people take it out of cutting diets because it is very calorie/carb dense - so watching protion control is hard. It also has very little fibre, water, vitamins or minerals and is therefore not as healthy for you as whole grains, legumes or sweet potato.

It is ok (I wouldn't eat it all the time and I take it out if you were cutting for a competition)...

If you want pasta - make sure you are very careful with portion size and use a home-made sauce on it.

What about whole wheat pasta? Can you eat that everyday if you're attempting to cut (not for competition...just for the beach)?

pasta is man made. oats, beans, lentils, etc. are much better carbs to eat. they aren't processed, have tons more fiber and have a much lower GI

I wouldn't eat it more than 1x a day

I eat pasta on my refeed day, along with other various high glycemic carbs.
