are regular salted peanuts in the junk food section? i know they arent as good as walnuts or brazil nuts etc but cud they still be included in a 'clean diet'?? the added salt wont effect trying to cut out bf will it?

Look at the back, often times those canned nuts are roasted with added oils.

ahhh good shout - general rule, if it tastes good its bad for u.

Just look for dry roasted - these are perfectly acceptable on a diet. ;)

And depending on what type of oil the regular roasted nuts are cooked with - they can be fine as well! As long as you include the totals in your daily count it is not going to matter in terms of how much weight you lose.

Which is probably bad for you. "Vegetable oil" is a catchall for a wide variety of oils, and mostly the "bad" ones at that!

DOMS is right - 'vegetable oil' can mean a variety of oils... (soy, canola etc etc). Usually it is soy...

I would stick to dry roasted... But as I said - you can eat them if you want - you just have to make sure they fit in your diet!
