Just listening to this Jimmy Buffet song and wondered if any of you had these. I have one...

Anytime I smell Mr. Clean I think of Alboob. :D JK

Actually, everytime I hear Why can't this be love by Van halen, I think of one of my childhood dogs that got hit by a car and I saw it while listening to this song.

On a lighter note, everytime I smell jerk chicken I think of being back in Florida during college without a care in the world. Boy do I miss that.

Anytime I listen to "The Lillywhite Sessions" (Dave Matthews) I think of the summer of 2002 (i think) when I was out of work, followed the band around, and just partied every day.

When I hear "Your Body Is A Wonderland" I think of the summer I met my girlfriend.

I could go on and on. :D I think some people associate events of their lives with music more so than others.

Yeah, mine are mostly musicly related too.

Anytime I hear Ants Marching I think back to the Summer of 96 and some fun partying with friends I am no longer acquaintances of. Ahhhhhh, good times.

Every time I smell medical alcohol in the doctors office I start to get light headed and want to passout. I guess it brings back memories of when I was a young boy and taken to the Dr. Office for checkups. The nurses use to dab on alcohol just before they stabeed you in the most sensitive part of the middle finger with these cruel jagged pin device that use to go deep into your finger and hurt for days. They would use these glass pipettes with a rubber tube and their mouths to suck blood out of your finger and taste it to see if your blood had the right amount of iron or someting and then place some blood in a liquid to see if it would sink right away etc. The sight of that and seeing the blood in the glass tube was almost as scary as the smile the nurses gave you just before they pricked me. The post trammatic event lollipop or gum helped but at age 5 it scared the hell out of me. I always suspected they were some kind of blood sucking monsters or something.

The smell of mellon, new vinyl hose, rain bird sprinklers or the sound of mocking birds produce my happy thoughts. These were all sounds and smells that one experienced growing up at about age 8-10 in the coastal areas of FL during the summer. We often layed in the sunny front yard grass in our bathing suits and ate watermellon while making shapes from the large puffy white clouds or had free for all water-wars with the sprinklers and garden hoses. Nothing better than getting soaked and drenched and sliding through the grass.

Why would you put grass in your bathing suit? ;)

The scent of bleach reminds me of my time on the High School swim team. That pool had WAY too much chlorine in it...good memories though. :)

Cuz it felt good?
Actually cuz I didn't know my grammer very well at that age and was going off recollections here.

We had a blessed and very happy childhood until the "big" girls down the stree told us things and showed us stuff that made life all complicated...

Music always takes me back in time to days that I thought were ordinary...until they were gone that is.

Gee, wouldn't THAT go over well these days??? :D

I love the smell of the forest because it reminds me of great times camping and hiking with my father. :)

I just found something that helps take me way back....

iZotope Vinyl - Authentic Lo-Fi Vinyl Simulation for Pro Tools, VST, MAS, Audio Unit, and DirectX audio applications

This makes your music song like an old record player, I remember sitting and listening to old records my dad had from the 60's and 70's Doors, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, Jefferson AirPlane, etc with this program I can recreate those exact sounds again.....it's so cool. I even used it to listen to some Coltrane and Miles just like it would have sounded in the late 50's.....

It's also avail. as a Winamp Plug-in...

Haha, bleach reminds me of wrestling. (wed bleach the mats before practice)

Sonique's "It feels so good" reminds me of playing final fantasy seven,

too many songs to name remind me of my ex.

Music takes me back into other places and times, haha. Im very visual, but Im a really audio-memory guy.

Dale - What an excellent question for a post. I too have many songs that remind me of special moments or things I enjoy. Some more exotic than others but all of them very heartwarming.

I love dancing. :dancer:

Whenever I hear Jimmy Buffet....I feel like killing Jimmy Buffet.

As the years go by, the urge never fades away.

when i see blood i think of the time my lip got jacked wrestling in 8th grade it was great.

the smell of anyting burning remeinds me of the day my house burnt down fun shit right there no lie i laughed at it.

then when i hear my nephews when i first wake up or when they come and wake me up it reminds me of how much fun it was being little
