In this video I discuss my latest article with Dr. Alex Bonnecaze, covering a previously unaddressed topic in peer-reviewed journals: managing the health of men who are not yet able to stop steroids. It provides a framework for physicians who may not be familiar with these compounds to provide ethical, evidence-based care, acknowledging that simply telling the patient to cease all use may not be the best course of action. Notably, the FDA recently issued a warning that steroids can be addictive and stopping can cause withdrawal, which we believe supports an approach other than requesting immediate cessation.
