Hey guys,

My name is Ash, i really need some guidance.

I'm 22, 6'2 and 160 lbs.

I want to put on a lot of muscle mass. I currently have 3 days: chest/bi, back/tri and shoulder/legs. I work out 6 times a week and eat a shitload. I am taking no2 and creatine while taking muscle milk 2 times a day in addition to 4 meals with 12 glasses of water.

I dont know if my program is right to give me the best results for rapid muscle growth. In an interview with toby macguire, he said he worked out 3 hours a day for like 2.5 months to go from that skinny nerd he was to Spiderman. I only work out an hour a day but i get like 4 exercises for each muscle in.

Should I workout 3 hours a day and do every muscle group?? Or should i stick to my routine or do something else? Please help me out guys...I dont have much experience in this. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Ash

No. Working out longer isnt the answer at all. Thats just an exageration for a movie. Most people around here workout from 45min-75min. Read around these forums and youll find yourself better educated.

Toby MacGuire is a skinny little brat! He has a personal trainer who bulks (if that's what you want to call it) him for a film. His rest period lasts for about a year! I've been a Spidey fan since I was in Jr High... and he was always slim and lean. Most of his stunts are done by a lean stunt-man or by computer... obviously!

Just like Brad Pitt in the movie, "Troy"... he had to quit smoking and he had a personal trainer to buff him up... and he still looked like crap!

Stick to what the people here on this board tell you..! They will help you push yourself to the MAX..!

And make sure your mind is in control of your body... foreget the Hollywood Sh!t... ERASE IT..!

train harder and smarter not longer, u work out 6 times a week, so i take it mon-sat? and u start over on thursday? just my guess at that. like vital said, erase that hollywood shit, i think brad got the way he looked in "troy" in what 3 months?? gaining muscle takes time ma, and patience! i also do the same split u do, but just 3 times a week n i do shoulders with my chest/bi day! and really i dont think there is a such thing as rapid muscle growth with taking some kinda steriod type supplement ... also how is ur diet? without a very strict diet u wont see much gain. my workouts usually last about 45 mins

check my signature. its all you need to know. if they really wanted to make toby macguire bigger in 2.5 months, they could have easily put 20 pounds on him. hes still damn skinny. i work out 5 times a week right now, for approximately 30 minutes a day. and my muscles are exploding. overtraining is the worst thing you can do.

Brad Pitt Got That Way In 3 Months ?? Serious ? Or Jokeing ? Cause Give Me That Program lol

Ya if Brad got that way in 3 months, Im doing something seriously worng here....Any have a link to his program?

There is no such thing as rapid muscle growth. This is not an overnight thing, it takes time and then some more time. You need to be patient with it but in time results will come. You see some of these guys that are massive and you think they got like that in a few months? Nope it takes years for some.

Training for 3 hours?!??!?!?!?! Good god, I spend no more then 1.5 in the gym. My actual heavy lifting is no more then an hour though, then theres BS'ing and stupid stuff like cardio. You grow outside of the gym not in it, and as many go by here...train smarter not longer!

If you have a solid lifting regiment and a good diet I see no reason why you wont grow. If your current routine is working for you then stick to it, if not adapt to a new one.

I am always amazed at the desire for the "Pour contents and simply add water" solution that some ppl seek.

edit: why did i even bother posting in this thread? The owner hasnt been back to this site since this thread was started the day after he signed up. After which he 'rapidly' dissappeared. :o
