Post Workout Dextrose Question

I see a lot of talk about Post-workout Dextrose....

Like I've said in other threads, I'm in the first 3 months of a routine, and am making newbie gains while getting cut. Goal is to get my six pack and be lean this summer, then bulk up in the fall....

For my post workout, Flax seed oil/ Whey Protein shake, which is better:

Dextrose? How much?

Or just slower burning carbs like a handful of brown rice or sweet potato?

I think if I recall I head both of these things.

Ordering my Whey on-line today, and have been thinking about Dextrose.........

Post work-out you do not need Flax Oil or slow burning carbs, you need a whey protein shake for quick absorbtion and simple carbs (not slow burning).

As far as post-workout carbs sources, just go for high glycemic index carbs, fruit will work as long as it's high in glucose like a banana.

And amount, around .5 gram of carbs per pound of bodyweight is good.
 
what does dextrose taste like?
