pre work out meal.

I've been experimenting with pre work out meals what's the best meal that's not going to give me heart burn and fuel my workout?
 
a lot of high quality complex carbs + good quality protein.. IMO the GI of your carbs should increase the closer your workout gets
 
I've been doing something like a chicken and a cup of rice but the red sauce or anything acidic has been killing my workout because I can't do anything without it hurting an burping

If my meals are timed just right for the day, then I just eat a clean whole meal.. otherwise I'll eat a cup of oats that I let sit in water before cooking.

Before you start home workout warm up your body and get ready for exercise,

Brown rice or pasta along with some tuna or chicken about 1.5-2 hours before. I aim for 80-100g carbs and 30-40g protein. I then have a banana about 20 minutes before I start.
 
Usually high in carbs for me. If I want a meal, it will be pasta before the gym. If I just want a snack I'll have yogurt and 1oz of nuts.

Usually followed by a protein shake if I don't feel too full.
 
Tilapia with old bay and white rice about an hour-hour and a half pre workout does it for me.
 
Awesome thanks for the tips I've changed my pre work out meals/snacks and I've found yogurt and oats is a great snack
