Do you guys consume this? What ratios and what consumables do you use? Is it a good idea to consume small amounts of carbs and proteins in liquid form while training?

pre workout I eat real food
Post workout I drink a 50gram whey protein and water shake.

Immediately before your session?

What foods do you eat? Any particular reason for those specific foods?

Thanks

about 45 minutes..
usually 1/2 cup oats and 6 egg whites 1 yolk.....just a small meal...something light and easy to absorb

when I train 1st thing in the am I usually do 45 grams of whey & 1 cup of oats. when training at other times of the day I'll eat my post workout meal about 1 hour before traininig then slam down 1 scoop of whey/water directly before leaving for the gym...

I work out first thing in the am (6am) so I get up and have a shake pre-workout (well - I eat some of it with a spoon and drink the rest of it). I use ff/sf plain yoghurt, oats, whey, strawberries and crreatine. - ratio of carb: protein is 1.5:1.

And yes - it can be beneficial to consume a carb/protein liquid whilst you are training too. Especially if you are doing endurance type training or if you are specifically looking for maximal strength/performance.
