so I've been a power lifter for about 4 years now and I've competed in the 100kg class, I stay at around 230 and lose water weight right before comp. I'm 5'9 and I'm one of those guys that don't look like he lifts just strong and fat. I finally have made the decision to cut down my weight and maybe try and see if those abs things you guys show off are real... lol.... anyways I've been carb cycling which has gone great me, bw currently at 215lbs. everything as far as my legs, chest, arms, and back are starting to get a lot of definition. problem I'm having is my waist is not shrinking, I know this cause my belt size is still the same. since I'm still in powerlifting I'm not really changing my routine around I do low intensity fasted morning cardio 2x a week and light ab work 2x a week. do I have to increase my ab workout and cardio more for my waist to start dropping? or should I start doing a workouts more frequent. or am I just not patient and I should just keep waiting? fyi I've only been dieting for 2 weeks but with visual progress everywhere else I'd figure my waist would shrink too.

well my body definitely decided to lose fat everywhere else and say fuck it let him look fat.

Some people are naturally fat in the gut. Some ass. Some hips. Some even arms. Some in the fuckin head. You just need to keep dieting and doing cardio. The body decides. You can't just tell your body to drop stomach fat by doing crunches and sit-ups. Cardio, diet, and patience.

First place to gain = last place to lose. Thats normally what happens with fat. Like the bros have already said, you can't decide where you lose fat, the body decides that. Theres no such thing as spot reduction.

2 weeks....?

Your body decides where and when it drops fat.
