I was taking my protein shakes with gatorade after my workouts and at night b4 going to bed,but what i didnt realize, was that each bottle contains around 30GRAMS OF SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!! and it was making me gain fat like crazyy but i finally stopped using it.I hate protein shakes with water and dont like them with milk either,do any of you have any sugestions or recipes to make good tasting protein shakes??????? Thanxx

try blending them with yogurt, sugar free preferably, or adding oatmeal or some sort of fruit. Yes, there is sugar in the fruit, but assuming that you are trying to gain mass over sever cutting, a little sugar is better than the crappy refines sugars in some of the sports drinks.

slpenda, cinammin for night time shake your not gonna want much else in it if you
are gaining fat.

A protein shake is not supposed to be a taste treat....just drink the damn thing and quit being a baby.

my creatine shakes post-workout have like 45 g's of sugar (its dextrose, and malto though).

Well - yeah - that is what gatorade is - sugar! It is made for rehydration/glycogen restoration after long, gruelling workouts! ;)

Other things you could mix with it would be:

PWO - Banana, grapes, fruit juice, FF/SF yoghurts, oats
eg:
0.75 cups oats
1 med banana
0.5 cups yoghurt
1 scoop PP
vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Ice (makes it really frothy)

Before bed - well, whey is not your best choice... but if you wanted to make a shake then you want something that is slower to digest so things like cottage cheese, nut butters/nuts would be good. If you could be bothered - adding a little xanthum gum or gar gum would also slow the digestion and it also makes it really thicken up so you could eat it like pudding! (warning - don't add too much otherwise it tastes funny).

eg: In a blender combine -
0.5 cups cottage cheese
1 scoop chocolate whey
1 tbs PB
SF maple syrup
More sweetener if you feel the need (eg: stevia)

Blend until well combined and you have a chocolate-peanut butter brittle cottage cheese creation!

add fruit or yogurt instead.

I never thought I'd agree with you, but on this one I'll just have to..
I definitely don't enjoy my shakes, it's just something I have to do. I'd take real food over shakes anytime!

MY ISSUE WITH DRINKING PROTEIN SHAKES WITH WATER IS OVER PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! I've found Myoplex shakes and they are DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!even if i just drink them with water, they dont have that sh*$@ flavor other protein shakes have!! GREAT STUFFF!!!!!!!! :D
