Pumpkin Pie

Tonight I was sort of forced into eating a piece of pumpkin pie. I loved it, thats beside the point, but my question to you is this.

If don't eat any crust, any ice cream with it, and just eat the pumpkin crap, how bad is it for you?
 
I had a whole pumpkin pie..and 3 full plates of turkey, ham,pork,yams,rice and beans...and today i weigh 2 lbs less...freaky huh

It's not that bad. It's actually on of the better treats. The only part that's not so great is the sugar used in the filling. Otherwise, pumpkin pie filling is just pumpkin custard... pumpkin, which is very good for you, eggs, spices (no harm there).

In fact, I have a can of pumpkin in the pantry that I just might make into a custard with a non-sugar sweetner. :bulb:

Are you Spanish? You had pernil with rice and beans? I made a pernil yesterday. I love it.

Me too, I eat canned pumpkin every day..just add some skim milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and splenda...whip it with a mixer :lick: Yummy veggie
 
Same here. I make it in very large quantities. Mix Casein (or MPI), pumpkin, splenda cinammon. Heat for a few minutes in microwave then stir. Put in freezer. Very satiating!

Won't heating the protein in the micro distroy the amino's?

I'm carb cycling right now, and I love to make this for high carb days...

1 can of pumpkin, 4 egg whites beaten stiff, splenda, cinnamon, ground cloves. Combine everything but the egg whites, then fold them in, spray a baking dish with pam, then cook for around 30-40 minutes at around 375, let it cool overnight... and enjoy! (you don't have to let it cool..sometimes i don't let it get that far! lol..) The whole thing is like 200 calories... sometimes I have 2 :nanner:
 
I'm cutting and I make crustless pumpkin pie with splenda and eat a piece usually every day, I love it!!
 
i made pumpkin pancakes for thanksgiving and they were grub, used pumpkin and buckwheat flour

I was hoping you'd chime in, Jodi. Great news that even the king cheats once in a while, or in this case four days in a row.

my pancakes took me away from my, eat half after turkey dinner and the other half the next morning for breakfast, then another the next day
