I'm not burning as much fat as I would like so I'm moving to a very low carb diet. I've heard that you will lose a lot of energy in doing this diet. So how will this effect my lifting? Will I burn out faster...not be able to do as many reps....etc.?

PS I wasn't sure what board to put this on so sorry if it's on the wrong one.

You will have an acclimation period 3-7 days during which you wil be tired and weak, then perhaps even more energy than before! However, a low carb diet is not recommended for BB's w/o Carb-ups...see the Sticky at the top of the Nutrition Forum! :D

This will be a temporary diet. I just need to get this fat off my waist...it's driving me insane. After I get my fat % down I will go with a more balanced diet so that I can pack on some muscle. Anyone have a good list of what foods consist of carbs and what doesn't?

Look in the nutrition forum in the sticky...there's a shopping list and threads on how to do this properly. :)

DP, what you mean by the 7-10 days without energy??

He means that you will have reduced energy levels for the first 7-10 days of a low carb diet but your energy levels will come back once the body adapts to it.

casue i have been on a low carb diet and with carb ups! (see my journal) and I still sometimes loose all my energy, especially at night and early in the morning
