can I just add a cup of oats to my protein shakes?

give it a stir then down it?

(i mix my shakes with fork, have no mixer, but company says to mix with a fork, and in water)

i have no problem with doing this, it ain't that nice having to munch on the oats after every gulp, but i'll do it if its gonna help me

also can i mix put some oats into a weight gainer (whey and dextrose) or is that not adviseable

plz give me some comments

An entire cup is alot, but yes you can.

Hey Pimp, you better getting a "blender" as that ain't nice mixing it with a fork. I will let you get other replys first on the weight gainer with dextrose, but i wouldn't recommend it as it will spike insulin to often and the only time you want that is after a workout.

I'm sorry but PLEASE look around at the first couple pages of the forum, this same exact subject has been asked like 5 times in a short period of time.

umm no it ain't u twat

no one else has asked how to mix oats with a protein shake

people have asked what is a good protein/oat recipie, why to use oats, how much oats to use with their protein.... etc, i've read them all but none of them say how to actually mix oats with a protein shake

there are no other qustions about oats on the first page on this forum, so much for the '5 times in a short period of time' rubbish

go fine 'this exact same subject'...'5 times' and then I will apologise for calling you a twat

either make a helpful comment or don't fuckin reply.... muppet

okay bro, but some guys really piss me off trying to be a smart-ass on net forums, wtf is the point?

lol yep twat kinda gives the English thing away (that why i used it) they don't get it :D

i'm glad to see you replying, your a mate for helping me out with my diet, i'm cutting the carbs right down now, not totally i normally have a couple portions of pasta/rice a day, but like instead of having chicken with pasta i'm having chicken with salad, instead of salmon and potatos its salmon and just veggies or more salad

man i can't be bothered to get a blender a fork will do for the moment, i rarely gonna do the whey/oats thing on a cut, but when i'm having them more often i'll probably invest in 1

oh and ASDA didn't do flax, damm them (i got olive and walnut oil instead  any use for them?)

peace old D

Hey i'm impressed with what you have taken on board WTG(I like to use this instead on WTF:wtf: LOL). Anyway you need a medal for having your oats with whey using a fork:suicide:. But your are right in not having too many carbs and the chix and salad is good.

You won't find flax in supermarkets, well not in the UK. But the best place to find them would be health shops, which you should be able to locate in your home town, if not, then there is the internet (i can give you some sites that sell alsorts of supps).

Olive oil isn't too bad, i am not sure of walnut oil?? but i think that has some fibre in which is a bonus. On your bulk you will need a blender as once you start making me home made shakes, there will be not stopping you.

Blender is best.

But I just make regular oats and mix in some vanilla whey. Add peanut butter if you are bulking its delish.

hey yd, i use optimum nutrition whey and it disolves pretty easily. even had to mix it with a knife a few times as i didn't have any other utensils at work. if i don't have a blender, like when i'm at work, i mix the whey with hot water and soak the oats in the drink for about 10 minutes or so until they're soggy. makes it easier to down. kinda tastes like a weird hot chocolate drink. not too shabby though.
