Now they say Red Meat has about the same saturated fat as chicken if cooked properly.Lean sirloin and pork cutlets are major protein sources.
I eat meat almost everyday as well as fish etc. and have found it makes me feel much stronger.
It seems hard to build up with soy, eggs, whey etc.
How about these guys on the covers of mags totally maxed.Don't they eat large amounts of Red Meat i.e. BEEF.
I boil it slowly and eat it med rare.So what does everyone think about the beef and pork? Any facts? Heart Disease?Cancer? I wonder. What do the pros eat? Go Pro?? Thanks

Sure meat has fat...we all know this. But fat is satiating and protein is what makes you grow. So heres the deal:

Red meat is fine as a protein source a meal a day. The amount of fat you get will not exceed whatever balance of pro/fat/carbs you have decided for yourself unless you are on an extreme low fat diet...but thats not recommended anyways. Its better to eat that red meat once a day than to miss your protein requirements.

That being said...if you want to cut and get completely RIPPED for like a photo shoot (you talked about cover models in mags) then ya...for a couple weeks you'd want to cut the red meat out and focus on shakes/egg whites/tuna etc...

A good cut of meat cooked well is not going to hurt you on a daily basis.

they also take alot of drugs which allows them to assimulate it

I see no problem with it providing you are choosing the healthy/lean cuts like you mentionned...pork center cut loin, pork tenderloin, and as for beef...inside round, eye of round, flank, sirloin, and tenderloin.

Thanks for the feedback guys.It sounds logical to eat the best cuts. All I know is that it gives me an incredible protein rush to get it in the system.
I wouldn't agree that you need to take lots of "drugs"to assimilate meat protein. But I'm sure steroids might be in some pros shopping lists.I digest meat better than eggs.
Just for the record I'm on a high protein,low-moderate carb, low fat, high supplement diet.No junk and heavily into training.
I take a more agressive aproach to strength and muscle mass building.I call it hyper-saturation loading with food-whey,vits,pro-hormones,creatine,glutamine and any else healthy I can pump into my system to get results.
Recovery time is quick and the pumps are stronger.
Again just for info.I weigh 180lb. 6''3'' 49YEARS OLD AND FEEL LIKE 28.Thank God for the iron.
Got one more question for those interested. Will skim milk make you fat? I know it has extremely low fat but the carbs are still there.Do you guys drink it on a cut cycle? Thanks .

My suggestion is to stay away from the skim milk if your trying to cut. 12G Sugar per cup is too much IMO!
