dose rest affect ur progress in fat loss, strength gains ect.?

i usually go to bed REALLY late and wake up just befor practice or something.

and is it bad to sleep TO much?

YES! it does jack with it. Your body needs sleep to repair itself and to grow. In fact...I should be sleeping right now.

So get sum sleep!!

I'm 48, and I wish I could sleep more than I do, I get on the average 6 1/2 to 7 hours.

Skip Lacour a few years ago said he hardly remembered anything from that year, because he was forcing himself to sleep around 9 hours each and every day.

Personally, I have ALWAYS needed about that much sleep to be a full 100% every day, I notice more mental effects though. Supposedly the key to regularity is to wake up the same time each day, and no catch up stuff on the weekend (sleeping in). If you force yourself to avoid naps it also hekps get to sleep at night, or else keep the nap to an hour or less.

I find when I stick to a regular sleep schedule (which is REALLY hard) I function much better. I try to go to bed around 10-11 and wake up around 5-6AM every day, even weekends (I have to for work most day anyway). To get around it on weekends, I actually get up for an hour to fool my body (watch TV or train) and then go back to sleep to get some extra.
