was wondering if its a good idea after lifting 3-4 weeks heavy
to do calesthenics the next 3-4 weeks such as push ups, dips, diamond push ups etc

also I plan on the calesthenic weeks to not train my biceps or triceps just doing one day chest and then next day back

as well take a week off right after doing my the calesthenics phase and going back to lifting heavy

is this a good idea to change things up and shock my muscles?

it doesn't hurt to change up your routine from time to time. It keeps the bodies muscles guessing, personally what i find to work for me is i change my routine up every 8-10 weeks fowled by 5-7days off from gym then i begin a new routine

If what ur doing us getting results why stop? If it's not change it but to a different lifting routine not calestetics if the goal is muscle mass
