ok i need to know should i work out my shoulders with chest or what should i work out with what? thanxs

From what I've read here it's not a great idea.

but in the end, to each his/her own. It could be a good way to change it up though.

i just need some help making a routine of what i should work with what

this was my favorite 4 day split:

Mon: Chest/bis
tues: legs
Wed: off
thurs: lats/low back
fri: shoulders/delts/tris
sat/sun: off

I just read last night that its ok to work bis twice a week. Anyone care to comment on that? It seems to me if you were going to work a muscle twice a week it would be a bigger muscle like your chest or back not a small muscle like bis.

can you tell me where lats and delts are located?and what exercises work out those muscles?

oh yea aother question i have a fealing im over working out cause i will be sore for days like 3 to 5 days strait could i be over working out or what?

This may help you.
Point and click.

As to whether you are overtraining, how long have you been working out? If you just started, probably not; you're just not used to it.

Far as I know, it can be "okay" to work out any body part more than once a week if you wish to focus on bringing up a slacker muscle group. One wouldn't do it forever, and one would arrange the rest of one's split to reflect the double workout. If I were doing it, though, I'd be less concerned if it was a smaller group, such as biceps; if it was back or legs, I'd probably downshift most other things to maintenance level for the duration to avoid burnout.

First of all an anatomy chart would help you tremendously. Your lats (Latissimus dorsi) are triangular muscles that extend from under the shoulders down to the small of the back on booth sides. The lats are the biggest and most impressive of the upper body muscles if trained properly. Well developed lats like Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman are spectacular.

Wide-grip chins and wide-grip pulldowns are my favorites for hitting my lats.

The delts (deltoids) are the muscles of the shoulder, a triangular muscle that is made of three different parts (front, side, rear). Each head of the delts must be trained to give you those "bowling ball" delts.

Pressing movements with a barbell or dumbells is a most for well developed delts. Isolation exersises are great for hitting each individual deltoid head. Front raises for the front delts, side raises for the side delts and rear delt raises for the rear delts.

I hope this helped you out...knowledge is power.

wher could i get an anatomy chart? and you guys RULE you are giving me tons of great information and i appreciate it and as always ROCK ON

so on my off days could i do some cardio or would that mess up my rebuilding of muscle?

IMO cardio on your off days is fine (no marathon sessions!!). If anything cardio will help you in your quest for bigger muscles. It will strengthen your heart making you more cardiovascular fit which means longer harder weight trainging sessions...plus cardio will help keep you lean.

Micflint, I responded to your previous post, with the www.exrx.net webpage. Go to muscle directory and click on the "muscles" page, as well as the "exercises" page you'll see a description and a picture. :finger:
