With the right diet and exercise is it possible to lose the sag? I was at a whopping 248 when I started to lose weight...now my tummy sags. I still have some of it to lose. Does anyone know if it is possible for it to get flat again? Or am I lost forever?

How much more do you have to loose? Are you pretty close to goal? Congrats on your loss and finding health and fitness!

It will firm up, but over time! Don't get discouraged!

I was up to 250 and then competed at around 180. While my stomach didn't "sag" I still had a little extra skin (and it was extra stretchy!)

I want to lose about 35 lbs. but I am also putting on a lot of muscle. I have had 5 people in the last 4 weeks ask me if I am a body builder. Wow!! I thought that was soooo cool. I don't know if I will lose much more weight since I know there will be a transfer from fat to muscle weight. I am not worried about it. I am going to go by my BMI which I am having done with calipers in about 10 days.

Thanks!!

It's just an issue of bodyfat! Just keep up the good work and before you know it things will be nice and tight!! Doesn't sound like you are anyway but don't get hung up on weight, it's body composition that counts!

I guess you also need to target the area where the fat is mostly visible, it may right in the middle or at the sides, so do what is needed and not just one exercise to target all areas!

I may be wrong but I think you were suggesting that if the excess fat is lying in one area, say your sides (aka love handles) you should do exercises that target this area??

If this is what you were saying it isn't true I'm affraid, there would be some very happy people out there if it was!! It is impossible to spot reduce. Fat works on the LIFO (last in first out) basis which means generally it always stays on the most annoying places!!

Saggy

I have the same worry since I have over 100lbs. From what I have read, it is best to lose slow and easy, lift weights, etc.
Also, I have read that vitimin E should help keep the skin elastic. I sure don't want to look like a tom turkey.

Just remember....don't let it get boring and lose interest. I know that doesn't sound right, but it can happen with overtraining! Give yourself plenty of rest and take breaks every now and then!!

The time is all yours and you all have the time and the tools to achieve your goal. It all depends on how badly you want it. Go in a strict diet and train consistently and don't give up on yourself.
