definitely !!!!! from personal experience,, i know to always express your feeling unconditionally ! loosing a family member and feeling that you didnt get a chance to fully express yourself to them is the worst feeling that never goes away.........

so definitely saying i love you to brother, mother, father, grandparents is is due without fail !!!!!!!!

Satan, you better call your brother and tell him you love him. I know your "evil" and all but saying I love you to someone doesn't mean the same as I am in love with you. I used to hug my father and tell him I love him even the last time I saw him when I was 20 years old. He past away last year, but I always told him I loved him over the phone, the same with my Grandpa and brother. I am even man enough to hug some of my best friends. My friend Jodi used to get drunk and start kissing everbody on the forehead and telling them how much he loved them.

Yes, I tell my dad that I love him almost every time I talk to him. Most of the time when I see him I hug him and sometimes kiss him on the cheek. My father is 75 years old will not be here forever. Four years ago I saw my dad go into surgery expecting him not to make it out, so I don't take him for granted. As I child, he was my dad, as an adult he is also my friend(this applies to my mom too). I don't think twice about telling my family that I love them. I have a few close male friends that I would hug hello or goodbye. THere is no question about how we feel about our friendship. Rarely do we feel the need to get all mushy, but expressing myself to those close to me has never been a problem. Now taking them for granted?...well that's another story. lol

This is the best thread i have read in a long time....i hope some people feel as gushy and warm inside as i do :)

Golly jeeze,J'Bo...Yup,yup!!!:stuck:

I let the people in my life that are special know what they mean to me for sure. I have no problem tellin my closest friend that I love him, shit its all love like that. I can see how some guys would be uncomfortable just flat out sayin that they love the person, I think that there has to be a certain level of relationship achieved to say that. Your family is a whole nother story, I really don't see why someone would be uncomfortable saying it to their family if they did feel taht way about them. Now if your dad was abusive and shit then I can understand. As long as you let them know in your own way, I don't think it is crucially important what the exact phrase that you use is.Alot of times a simple gesture can be orth a thousand words IMO.People can say whatever they want but actions are everything.

That pretty much sums it up right there folks

As far as saying"it" to my dad or brothers.... pffft, i got one brother (older) i never see, he lives 38hr drive away, he's cool and we get on well if we do ever see each other. 1 (younger) is a drug addict asshole that has treated my family like shit for 15yrs. The youngest brother is an arrogant, selfish prick. And my dad seems to treat the last 2 better than me so :flipoff:
As far as mums concerned she the biggest legend to walk the face of the earth and i would die for her :D I love my mum :D

My dad died twelve years ago and I never said I love you. I still don't care. And I definately won't say ILY to my Christian brother, the enemy. Besides it's a showing of weakness.

 showing of weekness? your weird

I LUYA J'Bo!!!:D

wahoo! I made the list!
:heartpump

I tell it to my father.
My brother...I have no use for. He is like one of Ris's brothers.
I have told my best friend that I love him like a brother.

I've told the woman I am dating now the I love her. That is the first time I have ever said that to a woman. Dero posted earlier that it is just a word. I disagree. It is a powerful word, and if you say it to someone, it has special meaning and emotions.

Whenever I hang up the phone with my friends, I say, "Miss you, love you" to fuck with them and it usually does.

Other than that, no, I don't say it to men.

god dammit, Satan....I'd think ya would at least mutter "ILY" as you collect another soul....
