I just finished training, and we did lower-body in the gym. I manage 300kilos for squats ( but its machine so its easier ) and 200+ kilos for hacks squats. However now i can't even walk properly, with my quads in really BAD aches. I took a protein shake after my training, but i don't know if something bad happened to my legs as i usually don't do at this weight. Just getting from standing to a sitting position is very sore pain.

Is this a really good workout in the gym? Or i over did it and now i'm injured.
Also do i take a protein shake the next day to recover? Training is in 2 days time.

PS: I'm 15, not sure if age has something to do with recovery rate

You overtrained like everybody does

Did you get any good carbs after the workout? Not that it would make much difference. Whats a protein shake gonna do? You need a shake after you workout with some good carbs but its not a miracle worker. You should learn a good one from this. Now stick around and read the stickies and learn something. Not much you can do now if you can barely walk. And i hope you dont mean leg workout is in 2 days because no, its not, if you have any sense. You build muscle by cramming nutrients into your muscles, not by killing yourself. Light cardio helps me with soreness but you probably just need rest.

I don't believe soreness indicates overtraining, it just indicates you're very sore and probably did something your body isn't used to.

Several times I had had intense soreness in my legs after doing marathon set(s) of squats, lunges, Bulgarian squats, etc. I know how bad it can get. I've had my legs feel like they were infected. To the touch they hurt and any vibration would stimulate pain.

You aren't injured, you may be overtraining, but your last day's training isn't necessarily indicitive of it.

Give it a few days and your legs will feel better.

Then it wasn't squats.

if you dont exercise a particular motion for a long time and then kill it one day
you will definitely ach for days

then the next time you go (5 days later?) and kill it
you will ach -not quite as bad- for days

then the third time you kill it (4-5 days later)
it will ach -considerably, but less- for days

its isnt until you are in a good routine will it not be unbearable

for me this is true with any body part

chest for instance
i didnt get to do a solid chest workout for 5 months between bootcamp and soi

by the time i got back into the gym, and did a killer chest day
i could hardly move my arms for days

but right now, i can do a workout which is just as effective, with minimal aching, the next day

^^^ what he said.

The first time I lifted with my legs after basketball season (I didn't lift during the season...which was stupid) I pretty much just jumped right back into my old legs routine. I didn't do enough weight, but same sets, reps, exercises, everything. Didn't really warm up, didn't really stretch properly afterwards. I got the worst DOMS of all time...beyond what I even thought was possible. The day after I was sore as hell...TWO days later I was practically bedridden!I walked with a limp for 8 days.
