Does the amount of sex you have greatly effect the testoterone levels in your body? Like say I do a cycle with a ph or test booster and have sex with my wife every day, will I have worse results than if i was to take the ph and have less sex? Or does it not effect your levels or gains at all? Thanx for any help.

I don't know about the rest of the people here but everytime I have sex with my wife I drop a quart low on testos. :funny:

Just kidding. In theory there is no effect from what I have been told...

Nope! It does not affect t-levels.

According to my reading people who have regular sex do have higher testosterone levels, and also live longer and healthier lives.

Just as a person who sits at home after retirement and has no reason to live, usually dies on the average of 2 years after retirement.

Mudge I see this all the time whre I live. Many retired people here from up North and an ex-military retirement area in FL. It seems to hit the guys mostly since they just sit at home and watch tv. The women usually get into clubs or charity events etc. and do something with them selves which I think makes all the difference.

I believe that, but I do no not think having sex increases their T levels, they have more sex because their T levels are higher. It could be for many reasons: genetics, health, diet, activity level, overall happiness, etc.

Ocean, plus men dont share thier feelings and yada yada, but I believe it, look at George Burns' life! He would schedule appearances a year or two in advance, he banked on being around, even though he lost his wife in the 60s or 70s?

Prince, if a study proved that sex increased test levels, obviously they would have to have evidence that it did, not just draw conclusions, not that I trust scientists that much. I assume now people are going to insist I dig something up and I really am not motivated to do so because I hardly see that its a big deal anyway, but I may try to look when I get time later.

So far I am finding articles, not studies.

Does sexual activity have physical benefits?

As a physical boon, sex appears to be an all-time winner: For men, sexual arousal increases testosterone and flushes out the prostate gland. For women, regular lovemaking increases levels of estrogen, which protects the heart, keeps vaginal tissues more supple, sustains the brain at its cognitive best, and even helps ameliorate premenstrual syndrome. The endorphins released with sex, as well as the accelerated blood flow throughout the body, can reduce pain from any number of bodily ills, arthritis to headache to whiplash. And, like other forms of exercise, sexual encounters burn calories, enhance the immune system, and suffuse the physical body with feelings of relaxation and well-being.

8. Testosterone ??? Sexual intercourse increases testosterone levels, which helps us deal with stress more effectively. When we are stressed, the release of cortisol signals the body to prepare for danger, again by increasing blood pressure, etc. Testosterone in turn suppresses cortisol, bringing the body out of this stress response and back to normal. It also fortifies bones and muscles, and keeps the heart in good working-condition.

Vitamin C increases testosterone production, as does vitamin K.

It's the restoration of sexual activity that raises testosterone to normal levels.

After half an hour of viewing, 75 per cent of the subjects showed marked increases in testosterone levels in their blood, thereby establishing a clear connection between sexual excitement and hormone excretions.

The problem with these kinds of claims is an "increase" might not even be statistically significant given the sampling error (which articles rarely reference). For example an increase of .01% is an "increase" but its pretty irrelelevant and completely erroneous if the sample error is +/- 5%. But none the less some lazy researcher or mazagine article writer could use the word "increase" just like the suppliment companies use the word "may" to descibe positive effects on muscle growth. A lot of these articles are a bunch of hype and myth unless they can point to specific research and the conditions that the test subjects where under. It would not surprise me that if someone tracked down some of these studies we would find that these same people touted as having testos increases could claim that "water" contributed to elevated testos since it was taken with their "viagra" pills or whatever other active ingredient really caused the effect.

I am sure you will find articles with anecdotal evidence, not scientific proof...I could be wrong though. ;)

It appears they would all be claiming to be citing some study or another, although never listing which study it was, and who knows when this was. Either way I believe in it, wether wrong or not.

If you lift, the body keeps the muscles, tedons and bones in better shape than if you did not lift. I see no reason to doubt that need for testosterone, and use of it, does not actually help keep steadier, "healthier" and higher levels.

When they say significant increase in plain text, I sure hope they dont mean "barely registered on the meter."
