Hey, should I use wide and triangle pulldown? in my routine ?
Best regards´
Zephii
I don't use wide grip anymore since I tore my rotator cuff. I use underhand/reverse grip and use a v-bar and I've actually improved my back width since doing it this way.
I agree with Anabolic on this. Wide grip pulldowns actually widen the teres major/minor-part of the rotator cuff, so it can cause issues. I predominantly only do reverse grip and close grip triangle pulldowns.
Dorian himself said to only do underhand grips on pulldowns as they are the only grips to hit lats succesfully in pulldowns.
I do;
wide pullups-warm up
reverse grip pulldowns
close grip pulldowns, then i smash my rows
Dorian knows his shit. Over on bodybuilding.com he has a WO routine you can pick up.
Sometimes what I'll do with the underhand lat pull downs is start with my arms bend and just focusing on the down motion of my lats not extending my arms fully back up and on the down continuing with an arch like incline row, holding the contracting muscles for a second or 2. When going full range motion the biceps IMO start taking more of the load.
