I have pain in my upperback (trap) going down across my shoulder and down th outside of the bicep . Does anyone ahve any idea's what could be wrong and how I could deal with it . The pain disappears if I warm up the shoulders before I start my workout . Any help would be appreciated :hmmm:

There can be many causes of shoulder injurys and they can be extremely painfull.
Is it your benchpress that causes the pain?

I couldn't bench for about 2 months due to shoulder pain and the physio couldn't work out what was causing it. Turns out it was from bad form and not warming up the rotator cuffs before benching.
I now warm up with light flyers and face pulls (with the rope) and I tuck my elbows in when I lift as flaring my elbow was causing the injury. This may not be applicable to your particular injury however it may help.
Good luck with it, shoulder injurys are nasty.

It's not from my bench press as I have no pain from it and besides when I warm up with light weight the pain goes away . I also know it's not a torn rotator cuff as I had that done years ago and know what the pain is like . Could be from tendonitis ? Just asking as it's annoying as hell

There are a multitude of things that can go wrong with the shoulder. See a doc and get referred to a specialist.

Go to the doc.

but know this: Most people gang rape their shoulder areas. They do bench, decline, incline, dips, flies, reverse flies, pull ups, rows, lat pulls, behind the neck press, behind the neck pull downs, upright rows, front shoulder raises, lateral raises, some other shit they saw in a mag, and throw in some other shit from somewhere else, all in one week, then eat 2000 calories a day, 1000 of which are lame, and go jogging three times a week, then wonder why their shoulders hurt.

Should put this quote in the stickies.

im gonna take a long shot and say:.........

you lack rear delt development and are OVER developed on the front and side delts... this could possibly have a pulling/misalignment effect on the entire shoulder area...

only reason i say this is because i was having some knee pain... and my doc said my quads were over powering my hams.. which might cause the same situation i just described in the knee.

I'd listen to everyone else and go to a doctor. Why not warm up before every workout if it stops it from happening though? Sounds like a simple solution.

Just to let everyone know ,I've been to the doctor and it's just a simple strain on the shoulder that I had not let heal properly . All he said was to warm up more and take something for the pain when needed . I had hurt that shoulder before and it didn't heal properly . Now I've backed off the heavy weight and using a medium weight for more reps . Thanks for the info everyone :clapping:

I was out for 3 month's due to a tator cuff tear.fuking sucked

good call on the underdevelopment of the rear :) this can cause so many probs when your muscles are imbalanced
