Well, it looks like there's some magic mushrooms growing in my redneck neighbors pasture. I've been waiting for this time of year. I think they're too stupid to realize that some of the best chemicals are growing right outside they're house. These rains here in Florida make em' sprout! I saw about 10 of them already. Woohoooo!

So go pick them. They probably don't know what they are. That or they just don't give a fuck.

Ours dont start coming up until the end of april. I believe you have a different type of Psilocybin though.

Well, bad news. I found a shitload last night but they're non active!!!

I've only encountered 2 species so far in the fields. Only one of them are active. I am highly sure they're Panaeolus cyanescen's. Haven't seen them around for over a year. I thought they were there last night but nope.

Growing up in orlando, My backyard was an old cow pasture for over 200 years. 530 am, almost every morning come spring time or early summer rains, we would get garbage bags full of them. fun times back in the 90's!!!

That horse must me trippin!

I never really worry about running out anymore. Our mushrooms grow in shaded grassland areas along the creeks and Im a huge smallmouth fisherman so.... Ill start above all my pickin spots and fish the creek down to each spot. Our shroom season is right at pre-spawn every year so it works out really good. Its like a double bonus if the fish are biting. By the time the season is over I have enough for me and all my bros to get shiddy numerous times throughout the rest of the year. I have like 3 or 4 ounces still from last year right now. I usually give them away when freshies start coming up.

ur a lucky fella.

Yeah, Theyre not scarce by any means. But.... You only have about six weeks a year to get what you can. If not your fucked or you gotta buy them which is completely against my religion. lol

Why buy when mother nature provides. Down here in Fl, I know they're here in the fields, I just hate going searching for 'em. When I drive home from work, I usually spot some along my dirt road in my neighbors pastures and wait til midnight to crawl under the fencing and pick.

That is not true, Shrooms grow nearly year round in many South Eastern States. You just have to be mindful of the weather conditions and which fields are most likely to produce. I have picked on Christmas day before in Alabama.

All you need is about 2 days of 70 degree weather along with high humidity. Also, each field is populated with different species of psilocybe cubensis with each one having different optimal growing conditions. So, one field might produce when others don't on any given pick'en night.

The only exception to this I have found is there is a field back home that we called the field of dreams that nearly always produced. I can't explain it, or figure it out. For years we had theories, but nobody really ever knew why that field produced such a high yield, and with the highest potency.

Who the Hell said I lived in the South East??????

I live in Appalachia Mofo.

Mind your business if you don't know whats going on.

Does someone have a little sand in the ole vagina this morning? I was scanning the thread and mistook you for the person who said they were in Florida. I don't mind saying I made a mistake, but you go on ahead and be pissy about it if it makes you fill better.

This thread makes me sad, anyway. I try to pick at least twice a year, but since moving from home, I don't know of any fields around here that don't involve the potential for me getting shot at by a pissed off farmer.

Sorry buddy. No sand in said vagina. Im not a habitual line stepper. Just struck me offensive for a sec.

Here's a theory for you Ketju. You see underneath the mushroom's cap there are millions of tiny spores that release/fall unto the ground once the mushroom hits maturity. A horse/cow/goat comes walking along and takes a big dookie on some of those spores which covers them up and when the temp and moisture is right, the spores merge into the shit and sprout a magic shroom. Simply put, your field of dreams is simply a field with a bunch of piles of shit that just happen to have a shit load of active spores in place.

Now I know your going to reply back to me with a googled article clicked and pasted to show me up. It's ok, we're all smart people too Ketju.

Man stay away from that poison, you wanna die or something? If any of you find some weird looking fungi, please forward them to me for disposal, I am looking out for your safety....

I think they grow year round here in Hawaii's tropical mountains cause I've had them offered at all times of the year at concerts, bars or just walking down the street in Waikiki....

Not necessarily. Its regional Roid. Some grow in Manuer fields, Woodlands, and Grasslands. Depends where you live.
