Just another daily reminder of what a terrific people's person I am.
Anybody ever have any luck with a bulk grow method? I grew some from jars, but the yield was pitiful compared to the garbage bags full we could pick out of the pastures. On top of that, you have how a giant humidifier and fruiting chamber setup in a spare room that is just begging to be seen by a surprise visit buy the landlord or bug guy.

I've heard of it, but it's sounds like too much work.
I guess I dont see the point in growing your own unless you plan on eating all the time or selling them. Mushrooms are like anything else. Your body builds an immunity to the poison and you dont get off like you would if you only did them once a month or every other month.

me & my boys use to raid the cattle fields after a good rain and pick the hell out of them. i'm from ga. so yeah, we had an extended shroom season.
anyway, we would boil those bitches up and make cool-aid with it and get fucked up, right. . .
well, a buddy of mine ordered "shroom spores" from an add in the back of hightimes magazine (this was in the late 80's) and grew that shit in a big plastic storage bin in his basement. we all laughed like hell at him, but when that shit was done and we cooked them up, it was unreal. . . we tripped for like 12 HOURS. it was more like acid.
it sent one mother fucker to the hospital and another into the little cabinet under a bathroom sink until the next day.

Maybe you can mossy on over and ask them questions that let you know if they are cool to shroom scene, they might just want to share and have a party partner/friend/neighbors-whatever. Maybe they want you to think they are dumb. I had two varities in my back yard after cutting down tree and some bark was yet and just starting pumping out Big LAughing Gyms I am sure of it as I printed and checked against N.American Field Mushroom guide one of the finer books to keep from the library! Well for as long as you can anyway! Have fun be cool and party even if they end up being assholes then you can feel good about just helping yourself, what are they gonna call 5-0 and tell em they got their shrooms ripped off hahahahaha

Morrell's are tasty though. I had friends who picked them in Washington, but don't know of any here as I've never picked them myself. You'd think with all the cow pastures, etc., there would be some around here once in awhile.
See you could teach me to hunt good shrooms and I could show you how to get morrells. ME AND VORTRIT HAVE A DATE... be jealous bitches.
Man they are in the woods around here. Under sycamore trees alot. Along wood lines etc...
Last year we picked so fucking many it was retarded. Over 200 in one day probably if not more.

My dad would pick the in the woods on the side of this huge hill northwest of Springfield. He'd usually go after them in the spring after it rained.

Oregon and Washington are great places for them. When I lived up there a buddy of mine would sell me 1/4 of a cup of them for 5 bucks. He would chop them up and carry them around in a jar with a 1/4 cup measuring spoon in it. Those were the days...
Yup that's about the time that we go. It's a blast. Blaze some nugs and go get lost in the woods.

Actually I wanted to finish college and the University of Central Missouri is right here. I had my old room mates from a long time ago that I used to live with in Springfield invite me up to stay as well. They just bought a huge house and are pretty much letting me live here rent-free while I go to school as they already have really good jobs anyway, and are not very materialistic people anyhow. I also wanted to get out of the town I was living in so it's a win/win/win situation.
