Other than the closing of growth plates, what other short-term and long term sides would adolescents expect following steroid use?

Makes a lot of sense. Your hormones are swinging as it is, adding excess hormone will only throw them out of wack even further. I've been finding bits and pieces of research about this.lnvanry said:Emotional swings....as a teenager your moods are sometimes out of control anyway. Using gear intensifies this. People w/ unstable tendencies become very unstable while their on. I'm not saying all teens are unstable, but chemically you have a higher perpencity.
I think any drug unsupervised drug use (recreational) is bad for people under 18. I am a huge hypocrit for saying this, but after all the garbage I partied w/ it really believe i nthis statement.
You have you whole life to use drugs in a controlled manner, why rush?
like you say, most of it is just speculationLAM said:hard to say as there isn't much proof as to what really happens, most is just speculation. I would have to think that there could be major physcological changes and possible permanent changes made to the endocrine system

Maybe if a manic depressive person takes it...I actually feel confident and poised when I'm on testosterone....not to mention extremely horny, which the GF likes

He's out for a week at a time? How does he find time to make new friends, torture them, get charged with a crime, get convicted in court, get sentenced, report for sentencing all while staying on cycle? Come on Dr. Jekyll, where's Hyde? Prison? Maybe I'll catch him next week.durk said:The stuff does set some people off who cant handle it I know of a particular gear head that brutally tortures his friends and comes out of jail for about a week and is always sent back with another assualt charge.

Yes I've heard of this possibility. Ive also heard that cutting your balls off permanently alters natural test levels. Whats your point?ST240 said:hahaha you have got to be kidding. Yes i do recall wanting to kill many individuals on cycle... Oh wait thats everyday
.
I think i recall someone saying something about that it can permanently alter natural test levels (higher or lower) after cycle. Anyone hear of this?

haha, I was just playing around. Yes there is the possibility of anabolic use permanently altering your natural test production. One example could be someone who stays on for a number of years. The continuous and long term suppression of your HPTA could make it very hard, or impossible for your natural test levels to get back to normal if you cycle off. But natural test levels can be affected by other things like genetics (hypogonadism) and test levels peak in your early 20's then begin to decline, which is why anabolics are perscribed as hormone replacement therapy. So it is possible for anabolic use to alter your natural test production, but they won't cause a permanent increase in your levels for life as a result of use. I've never heard of someone coming off a cycle and their natural test levels were permanently elevated due to some "side effect" (although I think if this side effect was possible, it would be a welcome one).ST240 said:I don't really know what to say to this... I'm not illustrating a point. Just throwing the idea out there, trying to stimulate discussion; Wondering if anyone had heard of it, hoping someone more experienced than me could clear it up, etc. Evidently you have, although i was expecting a more "indepth" response than the one you provided me with.![]()
