made my first ever shake today i used

12-13 oz skim milk
7.5 gram scoop of glutamine
38 gram scoop of protein powder (33g of protein)
2 ice cubes
1 whole banana

after i drank it for about 2 hours it felt like a lead weight in my stomach. Too much milk? Don't use milk at all? Too much banana? Should i only use water with some whipping cream on days i'm not working out?

thanx

Too much sugar. I would replace the milk with cold water. As far as sugars go, I put 4-5 frozen, whole strawberries in my shake instead of the banana. That's just me. In the morning I put my breakfast portion of oats in there aswell.

Avoid both unless your really trying desperately to gain weight. Milk is yummy and its cheap protein, but lactose is sugar and it can cause indigestion for some people as well. I have been off milk for about a week now because I'm trying to shed some dead weight myself.

I think this is quite a big shake for your first one. As for using milk, protein, and a banana...well that's definately a BULKING shake. For me I use water, a little flax oil (you can use ehavy cream), protein, and about 4-6 oz weight measure of frozen strawberries. It deigest quite easily.
