I did these on saturday during my leg workout. Also did lying leg curls. I'm extremely sore today, especially my left leg... Almost to the point of pain...but it's not really. A good stretch warms it up a bit. Was i over-compensating with one side? Why might one leg feel so much more sore than the other?

thanks

If you're hams are sore and your back is not... you did it right :)

BTW, what BMW are you driving?

well that's good...

I drive an M3....

ya man! ;)

First, I have a messed up back from years ago, so I train it gently. Second, my lower back was sore from SLDLs the other day. Hammys were very sore. Did I do something wrong? I am at 100% lockout, should I be bent a little?

I don't believe you want to be at 100% lockout...there should be a slight bend in the knee... at least thats the way i thought was proper.... :hmmm:

Also, if your lower back was sore, it probably means you weren't keeping it straight enough...you were allowing it to arch down a bit, which brings the back into the exercise...

SLDL=stiff leg dead lifts-not straight) a slight bend in the knee is where you want to be at. When I first started training I could not see how the SLDL worked your hamstrings-now its the only exercise I do-its awesome.

Yep, what scooter said. I cheated and did them straight, but hyperextending the knee is a risk. You will definitely hit the hams harder with some bend as well.
